East Lothian Community Benefits SCIO (SC053230) was formed in March 2024 by most of the Community Councils in East Lothian. The members of the SCIO come from these communities. It is an inclusive organisation, set up to support all of the communities within East Lothian, whether they are members or not.
As the renewable energy projects develop in the county the amount of funding available from Community Benefits will increase.
At this stage in the SCIO’s development the trustees are working to engage with the communities across East Lothian, showing that teamwork can produce the best outcomes from the flow of Community Benefits.
